Pardon the Dust...
Is that a new audiobook platform for authors??
Man… I've been pretty absent from my newsletter and it was completely unintentional! I have missed you guys, though.
To sum up a very long story, in November of 2025, I developed the genius (or depraved) idea to do something about the absolutely abysmal options authors have for audiobook distribution. Truthfully, it started with me building my own platform to distribute my audiobook so I could sell it directly and maintain more profit. That turned out perfectly! And you can now buy my audiobooks directly through me (which means I can offer exclusives like added chapters or free short story add-ons, etc.) Yay!!
But as I was building that platform, I realized there was a lot of potential in it. I code, automate, and build and deploy software for a living. So, I decided to put my skills to use and start building that platform.
What is it?
Essentially, its Audible and Kindle all in one app. You can listen to your audiobooks and read your ebooks all in one place and you can even do both together!
It's called IAX Audio. II'm uilding it under the Indie Author Connect umbrella that’s already established. I say “building” but in truth, it's built. Yaaa, it'sready to go. I've already started onboarding a handful of authors and I plan to launch the platform in a few months (early 2026) with mobile apps coming at some point after.
I mean, thats not all. I've also been tinkering with creating a royalty share type platform to compete with ACX and free authors from the Amazon monopoly.
BUT!
You aren't here for that. Sure, it sounds cool! But you joined this newsletter to stay up to date on whats happening in the world of Atlas Creed (or maybe you signed up thinking I'd be more charismatic, like I am at events 😅).
Ok, so Book 2 (Heritage) is stalled. Not because I don’t know what to do next, but because I've been caught up in holidays and app development for the past 2 months. I DO HAVE some amazing ideas for the story and have been plucking away at the keyboard when I get the chance. I've reconstructed a few scenes to really drive home the trauma my characters will face and slowly, I've been untangling this web of ideas to make a coherent plot line out of the complex idea I have. Seriously, I might have enough content for little teaser short stories leading up to the book just out of scenes that may not make the cut for the final manuscript.
Aside from that, I've completed 2 new short stories for upcoming anthologies and I have another in the works that I may not have finished in time for a 3rd anthology. So you may get it as a future newsletter. We'll see how well you behave 😏
The third anthology in question is for Sinful Signings. I’m unfortunately unable to make it this year because it falls on my son's birthday weekend. So, I wanted to try and get a story in the anthology to be there in spirit. That may not happen, sadly. But the story has me hyped, so either way it will get finished and shared in some fashion.
That's really all I have for an update, but to apologize for my prolonged absence, here is some character art I commissioned of my character Numenos (who you met in Armitage).
And here is where you can find me this year. Im hoping to add in a few more B&N signings, and there are a couple events I still need to add, but I dont have the details handy right now!
